DESCRIPTION

Big Buck Hunter is a thoroughly addictive hunting simulator game for mobile devices testing your speed, accuracy, and attention to detail.

Big Buck Hunter has been an integral part of bars and arcades across the world for decades. And, now, it can be an integral part of your mobile gaming experience. Experience the thrills of stalking and hunting your prey across a myriad of environments all from the comfort of your couch. Big Buck Hunter forces you to employ real hunting strategies and techniques to ensure you manage to bag your big game prize. Just like the original arcade games, Big Buck Hunter is simple to play but takes a heck of a lot of practice to master.

The aim of the game might seem simple. Hunting deer. But, there is far more to Big Game Hunter than just pulling the trigger. In an effort to maximize points and unlock new areas, new guns, and more interesting ammunition. Learn to identify the tell-tale signs of the route a target will take - shooting will become second nature in no time at all. Just like any other game, learning the ins and outs takes time but the rewards for doing so are tremendous. In Big Buck Hunter, that is not only true but exemplified. You'll see why later on!

Big Buck Hunter rewards accuracy above all else. Taking the time to aim for lethal points on the buck, such as the head or heart, will increase your reward from each shot. The aim of the game is to get as many points as possible so this almost goes without saying - accuracy counts! Not only do you need to rely on high levels of accuracy, but you also need to ensure you are shooting at the right target. This game is called Big Buck Hunter. Not, Big Doe Hunter. Just as you will gain maximum points for headshots on a buck you will LOSE maximum points for hitting the females. Even if you only graze them!

When you first start playing the game you will likely find yourself tagging the females far more than is ideal. This is a common problem and nothing to get disheartened by. It takes time and practice to learn how to identify the differences and even more practice to restrain yourself from instinctually taking a shot at any target that crosses your sights. Repetition is your friend here, over time you'll adjust and almost learn to tune out the females. Once you get into the zone, you'll hardly even notice they are there any more than you would the rocks and the trees.

Each time you load up the game you'll see little improvements in your playstyle that ultimately lead you to improve as a marksman and a player. Who knows, maybe these skills will even translate into the real world? Probably not. But, you never know right? Learning the most comfortable way for you to hold your phone to reach each of the "buttons" and becoming more accurate with your tapping cannot be understated. Again, it's only practice. Pretty soon you'll be smashing records and taking him trophies in tournaments on a daily basis.

How to play

Opening up Big Buck Hunter for the first time will lead you into a simple-to-understand tutorial to help you find your footing with the game's controls and layouts. Unlike the arcade games, you will need to learn to use touch and dragging on your phone's screen rather than just pointing and shooting like you would when playing at a bar. After you get a good feel for the controls it's time to go and test yourself a little in single-player mode. This is encouraged at the beginning until you get a decent grasp on the way the game plays and the rules etc. For example, entering a competition and immediately taking pop shots and doe's isn't going to be a very good strategy!

Once you feel ready to take on other players, not just the AI or yourself, head over to the tournament or 1v1 area and try yourself against other players. Remember, in these head-to-head competitions there is more than just pride at stake. The winner gets money, tokens, and tickets all used as a virtual currency in the game. However, there is an interesting twist with this game. The money is real! Yes, it's possible to earn real cash by becoming proficient at the game. That also means there is a chance to lose real cash if you get in over your head. With that in mind, it's best to avoid playing for cash until you are super confident. If at all.

You can compete against others in skills challenges, hunts, or just a straight-up best-of-5 shots competition. The best of 5 is probably the most recognizable game mode to amateur players. Each player gets 5 shots, each rewarding a certain number of points based on the quality of the shot. In the end, the winner is the player with the highest combined score. They will be the one who walks away with the Z tokens, used to enter competitions. Or, in some cases, the cash. Cash prizes vary from as little as $0.60 to as much as a hundred dollars. Sometimes even more. Some of these competitions are very high-risk high reward and are better left well alone.

So, while Big Buck Hunter is indeed free to play it's potentially going to either win or lose you a decent amount of money. Until you're one hundred percent sure of your abilities it's best to leave these tournaments alone. Whether you want to compete for money or tokens there are a few tips to keep in mind. Aim for the head, and try to get combinations of successful hits. Points don't only compound, they multiply. Accuracy is key in Big Buck Hunter above all else. If you have any other tips for making every shot count feel free to share them in the comments. Maybe, you might learn something new by getting involved. Who knows, maybe you will start pulling in those hundred-dollar prizes? Good luck!
