Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars is a completely new installment in the highly acclaimed Grand Theft Auto series that adds a new level of participation to the enormous open worlds. You travel the streets as you learn the truth behind an epic narrative of crime and corruption inside the Triad crime syndicate, bringing the franchise's typical level of complexity.
Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars is a 2009 action-adventure game developed by Rockstar Games and produced by Rockstar Leeds in collaboration with Rockstar North. The game was launched in March 2009 for the Nintendo DS, October 2009 for the PlayStation Portable, January 2010 for iOS, and December 2014 for Android and Fire OS devices.
It is the thirteenth game in the Grand Theft Auto series and the sequel to Grand Theft Auto IV, as well as the first portable game since Vice City Stories. The single-player story takes place in modern-day Liberty City, a fictional satire of New York City, and follows Huang Lee, a young Triad member, as he attempts to recover a sword given to him by his late dad after it has been stolen from him, while unknowingly becoming caught up in a power struggle among Liberty City's Triads.
Grand Theft Auto: Chinatown Wars is an open-world action-adventure game set in Chinatown. It differs from other games in the series in terms of presentation, since it resembles the original Grand Theft Auto games in certain ways.
Instead of a top-down view or a ground-level view behind the protagonist, Chinatown Wars employs a completely rotating camera pointing down at the action. A first for the series, Chinatown Wars combines cel-shaded polygons with black outlines to create a comic book-like appearance. With the exception of Alderney, the game is set in a scaled-down version of Grand Theft Auto IV Liberty City.
Unlike Grand Theft Auto IV, instead of exiting a wanted zone, you can lose wanted stars by smashing police cars to flee the cops. The more stars you get, the more cops you must dispatch for each stage. For example, to reduce a six-star wanted level to a five-star wanted level, you must deploy six police cars, and so on.
A drug-dealing subplot activity allows you to smuggle heroin, acid, ecstasy, marijuana, cocaine, and depressants across the city. Understanding market circumstances and desires depending on the region and selling their products accordingly might help you profit and earn cash.
CCTV cameras serve as secret packages in this game, which may be detonated with a Molotov bottle or a bomb. This also reduces the likelihood of being detected when conducting a drug deal and gives drug discounts.
Many GTA IV elements, such as the next-gen HUD, are included in Chinatown Wars. Ammu-Nation makes a comeback in the shape of an in-game website where you can use your PDA to buy weapons and have them delivered to your safehouse. You will also receive emails that you may read on your PDA or laptop in your home.
While stealing a moving car is similar to earlier Grand Theft Auto games, stealing parked vehicles is handled differently in Chinatown Wars. The car may be started in a variety of methods, depending on the model.
Huang Lee, the privileged son of a recently dead Triad leader, comes to Liberty City via plane, carrying Yu Jian, a sword that Huang's father got in a poker game and intended to be passed down as an heirloom, to Huang's uncle Wu "Kenny" Lee, the family's new patriarch. Huang's escorts are slain by assassins immediately after landing, and he is shot and kidnapped.
The attackers take the sword and drop Huang's body in the water, believing he is dead. Huang escapes and reports to Kenny that Yu Jian has been kidnapped. Kenny adds that he wanted to give the sword to Hsin Jaoming, the old Triad head in Liberty City, in exchange for a position as his successor. Due to the loss of Yu Jian, Kenny has been dishonored and has lost authority, forcing him and Huang to strive to keep their enterprises afloat.

Liberty City is a massive place, and getting from point A to point B may be a tedious experience, getting about the city or progressing through the plot may appear tough to some as well, so here are a few tips to help you make things easier.
● Do not rely solely on the GPS
There are several complications if you rely on the default GPS line that shows on the bottom screen. The GPS frequently gives you bad instructions, forcing you to backtrack in order to perform a legal U-turn or causing you to make more turns than necessary.
You don't have to worry about driving properly in Liberty City; the officers only care if you hit them. Also, keep in mind that turning slows you down, not just because turns are slower, but because turns are where more accidents happen. Maintain as straight a driving path as possible, keeping an eye on the GPS waypoint to see if you actually need to make the indicated turn.
● Illegal business
Here's a sad truth, the money you get on regular missions is basically useless. You can get by on mission profits, but if you want to make significant money, you'll have to turn to drug dealing.
You can trade six various types of drugs, some of which are more valuable than others. You'll receive email notifications about amazing offers on various substances while you go about your daily business in the city, either low prices that you may buy at or appeals from customers who are truly prepared to pay excessive rates. Make the most of your drug dealing in Liberty City in order to obtain enough cash to purchase the items you want.
● Side quests and accidental encounters
There are also short tasks offered to you by persons you meet by chance, among many other activities and side missions that go outside the main storyline.
It's a good idea to finish them once you've completed the main missions, as well as all the side missions and activities. You'll earn more cash and some items that will help you build your arsenal and get new items. Just a brief note: the three last tasks provided to you by Wilhelm are unlocked and may be completed only after you complete the main storyline.
