DESCRIPTION

Developed by Kairosoft, this single-player game lets you set up a town with adventurers while helping them power up to finish their quests.

Kairosoft has been developing simulation games. With Dungeon Village 2 as one of their offerings, you will be able to experience building and managing a town while exploring dungeons for some actions with monsters to finish. This sequel to the first Dungeon Village game is a role-playing game but you are not the adventurer of your own game. You will be servicing your adventurers as they acquire gold and experiences from their quests.

Your goal is to make your town earn five stars and become famous and convince the adventurers to settle in for good. Its popularity depends on how you manage it. More facilities and housing may be built to accommodate more adventurers. There are also establishments for the adventurers to visit such as weapon and armor shops and restaurants. You may also use the shops to stock or sell the items you found as you explore some dungeons.

The facilities that you are required to build in your town should have an equipment shop, food and beverage stores, and other shops that may help in keeping the adventurers active on their quests. Remember that these establishments have an upkeeping amount. If you already have a large number of adventurers, you may build a structure more than once to cater to all the adventurers.

Dungeon Village 2 has a series of maps where bosses from each area should be defeated and conditions for every resident should be fulfilled to move to the next one. These maps include plains, forests, tropic, arctic, magic, eastern, and the underworld.

The game starts with an inn and farmland. These are pre-placed to be a hub and a working area for adventurers. The Inn provided will serve as the adventurers' place. It will also serve as their healing place once they gained wounds from their adventures. However, if they visit the Inn for healing their wounds, they would have to pay for their stay.

The farmland will serve as their working area where they will have to grow the crops that you have selected for them. The adventurers will have a different set of jobs depending on their attributes. Once they have mastered a job, they will be receiving a bonus and you will be able to switch jobs among the other adventurers. However, you will not be able to change the job of the Kobold who is a local adventurer. They will also be able to increase their stats and learn spells that may eventually be used in battles and quests.

How the adventurers increase their progress depends on how you are managing them and the town. Each of them has a satisfaction rating. If they are satisfied with how you manage them, they are most likely to do battles often. Giving them gifts may also increase their satisfaction ratings and stats.

How to play

Once your adventurers have come back from their battles, they will be coming to your town to regain their health and stamina as well as purchase new weapons and armors as they prepare for new battles. Longer battles will increase their stats but it may also get them knocked out. If this happens, other adventurer needs to save them or you have to revive them if they passed out by using a certain item.

You have to keep their stats increasing to make them more productive in exploring dungeons and fighting large enemies. Exploring the dungeons is important since it may increase your town points which are needed in building new structures. New structures mean more adventurers.

Make sure that their stats are always in good condition. An adventurer's HP should not reach 0, otherwise, it will collapse and may need a longer time to regain his health. Their attack and magic levels should be on a high level to ensure their strength during battles. These can be boosted by building a structure that provides stats replenishment once they visit the establishment.

The items you get from the dungeons can be converted into essences using the cauldron. The fire, dark, ice, and lightning essences may be used in weapon upgrades or unlocking new structures to build. Make sure to equip a weapon that is suitable to the character of the adventurer to maximize its full power. When a new weapon is equipped for an adventurer who has an existing one, his previous weapon will be discarded. It will be placed on your item inventory and will be able to be used by another adventurer.

You may increase their combat powers by upgrading the weapons through the cauldrons, giving them food and gifts, ensuring they reach level 10, and upgrading your work stat. You may help them in increasing their stats but you may also contribute to making them lazy and decreasing their work motivation. If you allow them to just wander around and not send them to battles, they will not be able to increase their stats which will eventually lower their morale levels.

One of the jobs that you may give them is to be a Monster Tamer. Its goal is to recruit the monsters to be the adventurer's partners. These monsters will assist an adventurer during battles. As they are sent to a pack of monsters, they will not be killing them.

Aside from assigning them to specific jobs, they may also be gifted with specific items to further increase their performance. If you give them new gears and weapons, you will not be able to take them back since they will automatically be equipped for the adventurer. Remember that each of them has their traits which means their likes are different from one another. If you gift them with something that they do not like, it will not add much to their satisfaction level plus you will lose the gift that you could have given to other adventurers.

If you enjoyed building your town and boosting up your adventurers, do not forget to share your experience in the comment box below.
