DESCRIPTION

Take on the role of Billie Lurk, an infamous assassin-for-hire in Dunwall. You attempt the ultimate assassination ever devised, killing the Outsider, a god-like person that Billie and Daud perceive as crucial to some of the Empire's most dishonorable moments, after reuniting with your old mentor, the legendary assassin Daud.

As you go deep into Karnaca's darkest areas in search of the Outsider's origins, you will confront deadly opponents, ancient superpowers, and challenging choices that will permanently alter the world around you.

Dishonored: Death of the Outsider is an Arkane Studios action-adventure stealth video game released by Bethesda Softworks. Following Dishonored 2, it is a stand-alone expansion pack.

Dishonored and Dishonored 2 have similar gameplay to Dishonored: The Death of the Outsider. You have a short sword at your disposal. You may kill an enemy to death fast and silently, or knock them unconscious if you sneak up on them. You also have various weapons, such as a wrist-mounted crossbow, ground mines, and grenades, in addition to the sword. The hook mine is a new item that grabs a nearby target and knocks them out, or it may be set to kill.

You have access to three supernatural skills after completing the first mission of the game. Unlike earlier games in the series, you do not need to buy runes to perform them because they are all completely and fully unlocked right away. These powers cost energy to use, but unlike previous games, your energy regenerates completely by itself; there are no consumables to restore energy and just a healing potion to replenish health.

Lurk's major mobility ability is Displace, which enables her to place a marker anywhere in the globe and transport it at any moment. Semblance lets you use the faces of living non-player characters as a temporary disguise, although each character's face may only be used once. While you move, the disguise consumes your power, but not when you stay put. When you use Semblance on particular identified NPCs, you could get some interesting interactions.

Finishing the game unlocks an original game plus mode, in which you may use some of the Dishonored 2 powers. You can gather bonecharms, which are placed across the levels, much as in the previous games. Wearing a bonecharm improves your powers and abilities slightly.

Optional Contracts, which are side missions including objectives like assassinating another individual, are available at black markets throughout missions.

Enemy detection is based on line-of-sight, therefore you can hide behind cover or high locations out of the enemies' fields of view. Although darkness might help you hide, it is only useful at a distance.

To evade discovery, you choose between a lethal or nonlethal approach, which means you can knock down or kill enemies. It is possible to carry and conceal bodies. Alarms can be turned off to prevent enemies from becoming aware of your presence.

Black market stores may be located throughout the levels, selling a variety of tools and upgrades. These items can only be purchased using coins, which may be found throughout the game or obtained through other collectibles such as paintings.

How to play

Billie Lurk returns to Karnaca a few months after the events of Dishonored 2 to rejoin her master, the famous assassin Daud. Together, they will traverse the city's dark underbelly in search of artifacts in order to assassinate the Empire's source of chaos, the Outsider himself. The narrative will go into further detail about the Outsider's background and the reason behind his existence.

Billie does not have the Mark of the Outsider, but she will have new powers given by artifacts and tech gadgets at her disposal to invade underground fight clubs and plan a bank heist, as well as fight the Sisters of the Oracular Order, new Clockwork Soldiers, the immortal Envisioned, and the Outsider-obsessed Eyeless gang.

Death of the Outsider: Dishonored is a bit of a smart action game. It intends to encourage you to prepare ahead, think about the situation, and come up with improvised solutions when things go wrong. If you want to live, you must play wisely. And if you get stuck, perhaps these helpful tips will come in handy.

● Some weapons have the ability to adjust their lethality

In Dishonored, not every item and weapon is essentially lethal or non-lethal. The Hook Mine, for example, could be altered to cause deadly damage or simply stun enemies.

Regardless of your playstyle, it's a good idea to store up these things so you may utilize them whenever the opportunity arises. Of course, the circumstances will influence whether you choose a lethal or non-lethal method, but always remember that you have a choice.

● Pick when to fight Dishonored encourages aggressive play, but it doesn't make it simple. You'll be easy prey for groups of enemies unless you're equipped with the appropriate void abilities, weapons, ammunition, and offensive gadgets.

Instead, seek individual targets and make sure you're not being watched. When you make a decision, make it quickly. You don't have to kill in every scenario, but if you must, make sure you do it rapidly.

● In Semblance, move slowly

One of Billie's new abilities is the capability to deceive enemies by putting on the face of an unconscious victim for a brief period of time. While walking in this form, your Void Energy will continually drain, although it's worth noting that it will drain quickly if you run and will not drain at all if you stay idle.

This implies that it's sometimes best to take your time getting to your target, and if you're in risk of being detected, stop walking and wait for patrols to pass, or carefully plan your next move.

● Use Displace as a way to get away

If you're planning on doing something risky or that could put you in danger, remember to leave a Displace anywhere safe nearby, and you'll be glad you did.

If things get out of hand, retreat and displace out of risky situations while you wait for things to calm down. Displace is a simple escape technique that allows you to get out of possibly deadly scenarios.
