DESCRIPTION

There will come a time wherein you will be odd-looking games in the mobile ads that you see...while playing one of those other odd-looking games.

Jelly dying is just one of the many new forms of arts and crafts that have been turned into an app. No need to go to your nearest art supply store or hardware shop, you can make your own Jelly dye, via mobile app.

Read on to learn more about this rather relaxing and time-killing game!

If you're not familiar with jelly dying, it's basically having a block of jelly, gelatine, or slime, molded into a certain shape or shapes to form an image. A dye is then injected into the mold or molds to give it color and life. A lot of people have said that making a jelly dye is very relaxing, from watching the jelly gets filled up with the dye to the odd sensation of the jelly itself. There are so many factors in play that make this whole process satisfying.

In the app version, you essentially have to remake images that are shown to you by injecting the right color of dye into the jelly mold, and that's basically it -- easy right?

You really can't get anything wrong in this game, not unless you're color blind.

There are currently more than 100 images for you to remake in the game, and as the level goes by the images get more complicated.

There isn't much more gameplay to this, it's pretty straightforward and simple. The only addition to this are the different skins on the injection or syringe that you can to make your gameplay more enjoyable and personalized.

The game is produced Good job games, which has also made great mobile games perfect to kill time and don't really call for that much work up in the brain department. If you love the old school flash games that you can play on your dial-up computer's browser then Jelly Dye and the rest of Good job games' games will be perfect for you!

This game is great for killing time, relaxing, and for the diehard or hardcore jelly dyers

But what kills the enjoyment of the game, and like for most games like this are the ads. There will be basically 5-6 ads per level, and it can get really annoying. So if you just want to enjoy jelly dying, you'll have to pay to have those ads removed and if you think of it, is this something you would want to pay for, to begin with?

How to play

As mentioned, the objective of the game is to recreate the jelly dye by injecting the right color of dye into the right mold.

When you first play the game the first image you need to create is a thunder cloud.

The image has two parts, the cloud, and the thunderbolt. All you need to do is pick the right color for the choices below and inject it in the area that is colored such. On your first try, they deliberately put the wrong color in the syringe, so if you immediately start pumping the color into the mold you'll get it wrong right away.

There is no cancel button or erase function once you've injected the color. If you do get it wrong you can just pick the right color from the choices below and inject it again, it won't mix in the current color, it will just replace it.

Sometimes an injection of color wouldn't suffice, it would leave some bald spots, you can either just inject it again in the same area (the syringe or injection regenerates once you've used up the color), or move the syringe and poke it in the area that is sparse. We've found the latter to be the better and faster method, just injecting more in the same area calls for more injections, as compared to moving it to the sparse area which usually just calls for one more injection.

Once you think you've gotten all areas covered, a green arrow will appear on the right side signaling that you can cap off this level. BUT BE WARRY, sometimes when you think the image is fully colored -- it actually isn't. There will be some small areas that still lack color, you will find out because at the end of each level you will receive a rating, and for the first few levels we got a 98% rather than a 100%. A simple remedy would be to go once over all the areas once you've filled them up with dye.

At the end of each level, depending on the percentage you get at the end, you will also be filling up another bar that once completed or filled up will reward you with a new skin for your syringe!

One thing you need to note about the game is that it is riddled with a lot of ads. Just like most of these simple mobile games, ads are what make them stay alive, so basically, after every 1 or 2 moves, you make on the screen an ad will pop.

Additionally, if you're just into seeing the jelly molds get filled up with the dye, there is an "epic fill" option wherein after you watch an ad, a number of syringes will appear and fill up the molds for you!

Likewise, most of the skins for your syringe are all available if you watch an ad. Basically, anything is available and possible if you watch an ad.

You can also pay to have the ads removed if you're a die-hard and hardcore jelly dy-er.

The game also comes with a redo function that resets the colors in the mold to clear. So if you're just into filling up the jelly molds with color, or you just want to make your own color combination, it is possible. Although the colors available per level vary, some would be too close to the original or too far.
